Sand Pit for Digs

Tomorrow is digs birthday. Tom and Jonelle have made him a sand pit, the pit was all set up, but we had to get the sand from somewhere. Tom decided that the best place was (obviously) the beach. So off we went around 9pm to get some sand. Tom felt that there we were taking a huge risk in "stealing" the sand from the beach, so we had to be inconspicuous, hence the late hour, and the hiding in the bushes.

Lucy - what programme are you using to upload your photos? there should be a rotate feature on it somewhere, maybe under image?

This post made me laugh because Mike did the exact same thing when we bought Macallum a sandbox for his birthday. He went along one of the hiking trails we visit often and lifted several bags of sand from the area. One of the backpacks he bought home full of sand weighed over 60kg. But because we live in this area I had to sieve through it several times to make sure there was no mountain lion poo, scorpians or poisonous spiders hiding before Mac got in. fun!
